MentorshipRevolution Monthly Newsletter 17th Edition

MentorshipRevolution Monthly Newsletter 17th Edition

Welcome to 2020! The start of a new year and a new decade🎉

How are you feeling peeps? Pumped? Nothing? Anticipation? Tired?

Everything is going to be alright, and I am proud to bring you MentorshipRevolution Monthly Newsletter 17th Edition!

You all should know who I am, and if you don’t you have your work cut out for you.

There has been a lot of accomplishments and success in my life lately as of 2019, but even more hard work, blood, sweat, and tears.

Let’s get into everything, and the special topic for this month’s newsletter will be New Year’s Resolutions 🗓

The MR Podcast

I am excited to say that The MR Podcast is on our road to 300. 300 plays and downloads combined may not be a lot for some people in one year, but I am perfectly satisfied with slow growth. As you should know The MR Podcast is on every mainstream platform for radio and podcasts such as Spotify, Iheartradio, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Castbox, and Podcast addicts. Most recently we joined PodChasers! Therefore if you look us up we are there at your leisure and in 2020 we are breaking records with our production. As of now I am hosting two podcast series, which includes the biblical mentor series and the truth about college and college life. Follow and subscribe on at least one of our platforms, and therefore you will be able to tune in and listen to our juicy productions!

SuperSoulSunday

Over here on the MR platform we have this sector that is affectionately known as SuperSoulSunday. If you have never had anyone arouse the soul within you then get ready to be stirred and moved. It is kind of like going to church, but the benefits of our SuperSoulSunday messages are that they aren’t too time consuming and they actually have themes and topics that will bring you clarity, understanding, wisdom, and help you improve altogether as an individual. Even better these are free! I politely beg you to take advantage of these free resources, because one day everything MR offers will not be free and available.

In December I became a self-published author🥂

In December I published my first self-published short story/poetry Poetry For Girls That Struggle.

It is simply dedicated to women, because we are valuable to life and the earth. Life would be impossible without us, and we are living breathing reflections of the highest good and power.

But still we struggle and we endure struggle bravely, assuredly, and faithfully. Many of us don’t even like to use the word struggle, because we are just that strong!

Well, I think you would love Poetry For Girls That Struggle. I am capturing the stories of women all abroad because our stories are many and deserve to be uniquely told.

Power of Productivity

Have you noticed the new branch MR has added to the website? It is titled Power of Productivity, and I think I implemented this branch in just the right season- at the beginning of a new year. I am excited for this branch because Productivity is very Powerful. Especially for all of us young adults in our early 20’s and 30’s . Us millennials and Generation Z population. If you are interested in Productivity tips, advice, and consistent new information I advise you subscribe to this website right now🙂

Keeping it Real; Keeping it Soulful

Have you noticed this additional branch to the platform? This will be the branch for current news, past news, prayer requests, discussion of world events, etc.

MR Has It’s Own BookClub Now!

Yes, I said it right. We finally have our very own book club. I wanted to start this branch of the platform in 2019, but you must remember I am running a lot all ready. Anyways, I believe 2020 is the introduction of something new. Plus I know the importance of reading and exploring literature. In our book club we will do just that. We are starting with Michelle Obama’s Becoming, so please grab your copy and join us. Look forward to all discussion, remarks, response, and questions on the website where the book club is featured.
Here is the very first book our book club will be featuring!

Now, Let’s Talk

I promised that in this Month’s Newsletter we will talk New Year Resolutions. Here it is, and I plan to add some encouraging words to bless the new year year ahead of us.

New Year Resolutions

Click this link to read an exciting article shirt New Years Resolutions: https://www.google.com/amp/s/parade.com/969195/megangrant/new-years-resolutions-ideas/amp/ This year I encourage you to make a New Years Resolution or two. I know our New Years Resolution can be personal so you don’t have to tell me, but at least commit to a goal or two for self- improvement, professional development, and more prosperity. Because keeping it soulful; keeping it real every year of our lives we are suppose to be committed to running this race called life. The best time to start building on those positive, healthy, and happy habits are now! Personally, I want to build on and create better fitness/dieting habits + I want to improve in the organization department and declutter ( environment more serene) + I am building a stable roadmap that I will use upon graduation and starting my career in Psychology or whatever field God leads me to. See, I just listed three New Year Resolutions. New Year Resolutions should be fun, exciting, challenging, and created for your self to accomplish according to the date you need/want to accomplish it. Don’t go changing yourself or making drastic decisions in one year. We still need to trust that God will handle the overall work that needs to be done, which is a month by month year by year walk with him sovereign over our lives and soul. Therefore make sure you tend to mindfulness, self care, and your mental health (peace). This is first things first. My worst fear is that being in college has thrown me off path, because I have dealt with my share of curveballs, hectic schedules, and having to make tough academic and personal decisions without looking back or thinking twice. MentorshipRevolution challenges you to create 1 or 2 New Year Resolutions, and make sure you are doing it for the overall betterment of yourself spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially.

Encouraging Words Spoken

1. Begin Anywhere. John Cage 2. Open your mind, get up off the couch, move. Anthony Bourdain 3. Dig within, and discover what you would like to have happen in your life this year. Goals give us direction. Melody Beattie 4. There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open. Jawaharlal Nehru 5. Climb the mountain so that you can see the world, not so the world can see you. David McCullough

On A Final Note.

I am wishing you all a Happy New Years and success on those New Year Resolutions. We never stop growing and gaining new sense freedom as long as we are breathing and alive. I stand with you in prayer for whatever you know you need, and I pray God provide you with the desires of your mind, heart, and soul long as they honor and glorify him first. Amen. Sincerely, Hannah Lassiter Founder of MentorshipRevolution + Host of The MR Podcast + Author of Poetry For Girls That Struggle
