MR’s Weekly Challenge (10)

It is due time for another weekly challege!

Between life and vacation I have been challenged myself, lol.

We are in a new month (August) and I see all over social media everywhere everyone is saying how August is time for new seasons and new beginnings.

Which, brings me to share with you this new weekly challenge.

Turn it off.

I mean turn everything that is a distraction to you: off.

A lot of times on social media we love scanning through the comments and reading everyone’s thoughts and opinions.

But, social media can drive anyone crazy.

Social media should never be the rule of thumb for anyone’s life.

In the last 10 years social media has changed drastically.

Though I am only 19 years old I have been on social media my entire life.

I was on MySpace guys in 2006/2007.

That is how long social media has been a part of my life and my consciousness.

But now I am going to start turning off the comments.

That is on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

I am proud to say I haven’t owned a t.v. in the last three years.

Even before then i had went three years without having a t.v. in my bedroom.

Does it feel like I am reversing back into the old ages?

Yes, but that is only because I listen to everyone around me who each own their own t.v.

Otherwise I am good with my cellphone, laptop (for important stuff), bible, journals, pens, snacks, and other necessities.

It has been so long since I have enjoyed all the luxuries of the entertainment world.

I can count on two hands how many new movies I have watched from beginning to end in the last two years.

That is enough to even remenber them in the first place.

So, this week I know you can turn off something in your life or environment that maybe causing extra racket in your world.

The small picture is we cannot control the way the world is heading or how fast time is going.

But the big picture is we can be in the driver’s seat of our own lives and Destiny.

That is what should motivate us and drive us as we navigate the demands and decisions we must make.

I love you all, and God bless you.

  1. I don’t know whether it’s just me or if perhaps everybody else experiencing problems with your blog. It appears as if some of the text on your content are running off the screen. Can someone else please provide feedback and let me know if this is happening to them as well? This could be a issue with my web browser because I’ve had this happen before. Many thanks
